The Australian Institute of Management in Western Australia (AIM WA) has announced that the Lishman Health Foundation has been named as the chosen charity by the 2019/2020 AIM WA Pinnacle Award winner WA Country Health Service.
WA Country Health Service is the recipient of the 2019-2020 Curtin University Innovation Excellence Award.
Providing comprehensive health services across more than 2.5 million square kilometres, the WA Country Health Service is the biggest country health system in Australia. Its challenges include a population experiencing health inequities with limited resources and reduced economies of scale. This lead to the creation of an Emergency Telehealth Service (ETS), a digital platform used to link country hospitals with a team of emergency specialists based in Perth. Since it started, the ETS has been a huge success growing to 80 sites across regional WA, offering 24 hour care.
WA Country Health Service nominated Lishman Health Foundation to benefit from their $20,000 training prize.
